In this class, students will work to continue developing their drawing and painting skills through a variety of excercises tailored to this age group. Fresh term topics will ensure students remain engaged and constantly introduced to new themes, techniques, mediums and artists. We provide you with all the materials,  guides, and pre-taped videos so you can follow step by stepped instructions. We will even send them directly to you via courier to your home. For those interested in a one-off session, try our Weekend Workshops which run year-round on Saturdays and Sundays. An informal social drawing group for artists of all levels of experience. Comprises 3 hours of life drawing, beginning with quick one-minute poses and ending with two 20-minute poses. Great models, great music and great atmosphere, all accompanied by a nice glass of merlot (BYO drawing supplies). Classes are available from beginner to advanced levels where you can learn how to paint in a variety of mediums and with practical exercises to develop observational skills and paint handling techniques. Classes include Oil Painting, Acrylics, Painting for Beginners, Drawing and Painting, Watercolours, Chinese Brush Painting, Hand Lettering, Botanical Art and Abstract Art. Structured lesson plans are developed by our team of artists and teachers with degrees in fine arts and education.

The Willoughby Arts Centre (WAC) is an independent not-for-profit art centre and workshop facility. It was established by the late Joy Ewart, with assistance from fellow artists and supporters in 1961 to promote and foster appreciation of the creative and visual arts. Using block-based coding in Scratch developed by MIT Media Lab students learn the fundamentals of computer science concepts and coding terminology such as loops, conditionals and variables.
