Bayswater Childcare Centre & Kindergarten

Our open-door policy encourages families to share in their child’s experiences and contribute to our programs with their skills, culture, and creativity. Many of our educators have been part of the Goodstart Bayswater North family for many years—some for over two decades. We’re also proud to support emerging educators and trainees, helping them grow in their careers while nurturing their passion for working with children.
Spread across two levels, our dedicated Nursery and Kinder areas are connected by a central staircase, allowing these differing developmental groups to learn, play, run and explore effortlessly within their own family day care bayswater purpose-built spaces. Knox City Council acknowledges the traditional custodians of the City of Knox, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. Bayswater Primary School is located in the heart of Bayswater approximately 7 kilometres North East of the Perth CBD.

All class lists will be posted at the PTA social on the afternoon before school starts in August. They will also be accessible at the front door facing Washington Boulevard overnight. Leading this exciting new chapter is Sally and Naomi, who bring together a combination of over 40 years of rich experience in the early childhood sector, with many of them in leadership and management. Naomi will bring her vast experience to the Centre Director role which gives her a unique and holistic understanding of the sector. Her hands-on approach and deep commitment ensure that every child, family, and educator is supported with genuine care and insight. Both centres are open 49 weeks of the year, closing for 1 day during the year for professional development and approximately two weeks between the end of December and early January.

As a photographer passionate about capturing childhood in its element, I love documenting the laughter and exploration that unfolds in the outdoor spaces of Bayswater‘s early learning centres. Hillcrest Primary School is proudly an Independent Public School since 2020. Our specialist areas of Sustainability and Media Arts supports our vision of ‘future-focused learning’. As a school without a local intake area, we pride ourselves on being the “school of choice” for many families. Enrolments are considered and accepted based on proximity to the school and availability.
Kindergarten is often called preschool, kindy, kinder and others. Our program at Choklits continues to evolve so we update this page regularly and in line with our own additions to the program and government initiatives. Please select a time below that suits you for your personal tour. Once families have completed a tour, they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.

More families living in Bayswater will have access to kinder and childcare places and Maternal and Child Health Services, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government. We get to go up to the local primary school and have a few classes such as PE, Art and Music. Children have fun, get to know a primary school, and experience the different kinds of classes they will be involved in next year. Our school has a wonderful and supportive group of students, staff, parents and carers, and support organisations like our P&C Association and School Board, which work together to create a positive learning community. The school respects the varied cultural backgrounds of our students and we celebrate this diversity. The school recognises the varied needs of each of the students and their individual requirements for learning. Our staff are committed to every student through the delivery of high quality teaching and learning programs. On average, the cost of child care in Bayswater is $161 per day.
Our purpose-built child care and kindergarten centre in Boronia provides innovative early learning programs in a safe, nurturing and enriching environment. Our spacious outdoor area features a bike track, climbing equipment, forts, and large sandpits, all surrounded by nature, promoting physical activity and exploration. We have six well-appointed rooms, each with separate nappy change and toileting areas to ensure hygiene and comfort. Our experienced educators design a comprehensive education program designed to foster children’s growth across all developmental domains. We are fortunate to have three Early Childhood Teachers and another working towards their qualification, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to our program. Our government-approved kindergarten program focus on structured learning experiences that promote school readiness.
