BAYSWATER, VIC Kindergarten

While we understand that this  can be inconvenient, Great Beginnings is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children. As your child prepares to head home, this is your opportunity to speak with our friendly educators about your child’s day and everything they learnt. From choosing and visiting a service, through to enrolling, orientation and anticipating the important first day, these all form the path to your child commencing at kindergarten. Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning.
We believe that building strong and trusting relationships with children is essential, long daycare kindergarten as it lays the foundation for a safe and loving learning environment. Through play-based learning, children explore their surroundings, develop confidence, and build social and communication skills. Our program places a strong emphasis on social development and emotional regulation, preparing children for a smooth transition to 4-year-old kindergarten. Welcome – We provide education and care for tamariki aged 2-5 years old and offer 20 hours free each week.

Here at Belmont Bayswater Kindergarten we have strong connections with the community and local school networks. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day. I began working in early childhood education in 2020 and joined the Bayswater team in 2025. My background includes a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I started my journey as an Early Childhood Teacher, then stepped into a Curriculum Leader role in 2023, and have been a Centre Manager since September 2024. Great Beginnings uses Xplor Home as our family communication app.
If you have any questions about our early childhood education program, feel free to reach out to us.  We have a fantastic outdoor area for children to play, which includes a fort, sandpit area, bike track and plenty of shade. We also have a separate area for the younger children to play at their own pace. This event is open to families with children aged 0–5 years, and we can’t wait to share this special morning with you. The Y acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia of the lands on which we live, work and have programs and services. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to Elders past, present and future.

By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships. Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world at the centre. We run a variety of excursions and incursions to enhance learning and development.
