There aren’t much activities except paying for hay to feed the bunnies & piglets, resting near the fountain reading books or newspapers. South of Highway 11 , the park stretches all the way to the sea. In this portion, you’ll find the long, rectangular, human-made Flowing Lake (東森林公園活水湖). It’s possible to rent boats at popular times or even swim in the lake. The best way to access the park is Bo’ai Road, which is right across from the Railway Village.

I recommend taking the one with all the stairs, tiring but you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. The park is pleasant, with a lot of shadowy parts so, even during summer, it’s a nice place to go for a walk. Jia Lu Lan is a nice scenic spot facing the sea with a couple of sculptures and artworks. Taiwan’s east coast seems to be full of strange rock formations, Taitung is no exception.
