In Victoria, children born between January 1 and April 30 can generally start prep school in the year they turn 5. Guardian’s Flying Start to School preschool program is designed to make this transition smooth, giving children the literacy, numeracy and social skills they need to thrive as they begin their school journey. The globally renowned Reggio Emilio Approach we use embraces a childcare philosophy of innovation, self-care, creativity, curiosity, open-mindedness and adaptability. The first years of a child’s life are where the foundations of the wonderful person they have the potential to be are created.
Our team of dedicated early learning experts hold each other to a very high standard. One of our parents says we’re a ‘perfect place for kids to get messy and come home with a sandpit in their shoes’. Our Kids Oakleigh South is operated by MYK PTY LTD ATF The MYK Family Trust, which contributes insignificant to the total available child care capacity in Victoria. The Hub is host to a Friday playgroup (2pm - childcare oakleigh south 4pm) which is independently run by a community parent group. Inspired by these discussions, Richards wove their stories and experiences together to create a work that celebrates the knowledge and history our environment holds.

By the time our young learners move on to primary school, they are well-prepared, confident, and eager to embrace the next chapter of their educational journey at Oakleigh Grammar. Our modern classrooms are equipped with high-quality, natural educational resources, chosen to complement our curriculum and support your child’s learning journey. Within our classrooms, you will discover smaller spaces designed to make children feel secure and truly at home, including home corners, reading nooks, art studio spaces, floor & table activities and other inspiring play zones.
The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre's long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares. Engaging experiences will be set up so your toddler feels comfortable and can  start playing with other children.
Our primary goal is to create an environment in which each child’s growth and development is nurtured and their love for learning is strengthened through collaborative partnerships with peers, educators and wider community. Our Flying Start to School Kindergarten learning program continues throughout the morning with planned experiences for pretend play, reading or exploring puzzles together, before children are then invited to enjoy morning tea. Our program continues with opportunities for children to explore and discover in both our indoor and outdoor environments. Our recently renovated Mt Eliza featuring a range of resources to educate and inspire, including an outdoor treehouse, herb and vegetable gardens, creek beds, worm farms, compost bins, and various age-specific studios. At EVOKE, our early learning philosophy is deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach which views children as capable and resilient, with the capacity for complex thinking. Through a stimulating play-based program and intentional teaching practices, we aim to equip children with essential skills, deep understanding, positive learning dispositions, social and cultural competence, and emotional wellbeing. Located on Centre Road, our long day care centre provides a convenient stop for families on the way to work. Our beautiful, purpose-built childcare centre also has plenty of onsite car parking for easy drop-offs and pick-ups.

In 2024, Richards led four engagement sessions at the hub with local kindergarten children and Oakleigh South Girl Guides, sharing with them Australian Indigenous culture and art. Services are given a rating for each NQS quality area and an overall NQS service quality rating based on these results. The overall rating provides a snapshot of how the service is performing. We have been attending here for almost 2 years and I have nothing but the highest praise for all the staff.

Simply let us know when cancelling a booking outside the cancellation window, provide a doctor’s certificate and there will  be no fee charged. Casual fees are for families who need more flexibility to suit their schedules. At Guardian Langwarrin North, each child’s care and education is our top priority. From day one, our team builds strong, genuine relationships, supporting learning across six beautiful spaces filled with age-appropriate resources. Our newly refurbished Brighton child care Centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age, supporting them to discover the world in a safe and secure way. The indoor and outdoor spaces are custom designed to be a continuous landscape for play and a stimulating environment for learning.
We also offer Homework Club,  where our educators will assist your child with their homework tasks. This is a great support, as they’re free to enjoy the evening at home without the stress of having to complete extra schoolwork. Recurring fees apply when you make a minimum of 2 bookings at the same time and no less than 48 hours prior to the start of the first booking.
You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer placement to out of zone students. Please note that if you cancel your first or last attendance inside our cancellation policy within a 14 week period, then CCS may not be applied and families may be charged in full for this session.
