We do our very best to support families during this difficult time by offering orientation sessions and having highly experienced educators to support the ongoing needs of the child and their family. As well as one-on-one support, our wellbeing team provides programs to help our youth education students navigate their own journey. Our wellbeing team is made up of qualified and experienced professionals who are here to help young people reach their potential through  building resilience and providing a nurturing support system.

For integrated kindergarten programs (where kinder is a part of long day care), Free Kinder will appear as a weekly credit of $50.00 on your YMCA account statement. You need to enrol in the HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in education and care setting course. If you are working with children in Geelong, you are also be required to obtain first aid training qualifications in Asthma and Anaphylaxis. HLTHPS006 builds medication-awareness for support workers—learn safe handling, storage, administration guidelines, risks and responsibilities when assisting clients in care settings. HLTAID012 Childcare First Aid equips educators with emergency response skills for education and care settings, including CPR, infant CPR, AED use and first aid. The information below gives an indication of current availability at the centre. The Victorian Government provides Free Kinder funding to our ELC, not directly to families.
