The Cantabile School of Music is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive and motivational music teaching. We offer lessons to introduce young children to the basic concepts of music and start them on their musical journey. This type of tuition can be undertaken as either group or private lessons. With over 30 years of piano teaching experience,my students have been successful in achieving high results in AMEB, VCE and eisteddfods.

They all had different approaches to teaching music, each having their own philosophies in their approach to music. I owe so much to all my teachers (although perhaps not in equal amounts), as they have all taught me significant lessons in my musical journey. With a team of 30 tertiary-educated musicians and performers, Glen Music emphasizes a comfortable and soundproofed teaching environment to help students achieve their musical goals. The school aims to foster self-discipline, improve self-esteem, and enhance social skills through the joy of learning music. During the year, our school hosts a variety of music performance opportunities for our students to gain confidence, performing experience and stage presence. You can’t have high quality music lessons without high quality music teachers.
Preparing for music examinations require a certain level of criteria and commitment. Therefore a combination of high quality and experienced teaching, close monitoring of progress, performance opportunities and student resources are available to help our students. Just because a teacher is highly qualified in music, does not guarantee they can teach. This is why we assess our teachers based on their warm personalities and ability to work with children.
If I had known that others my age were going through the same challenges in playing their instrument, such as finding motivation to practice, working on certain techniques, to exploring new repertoire, I may have been a very different musician than I am today. Our music teachers are all tertiary qualified from renowned universities and possess a high level of musical certification. They are personally selected by our Director, making sure each teacher share the same musical and educational values as our mission statement. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. All teachers have undergone extensive interviews and background checks to be qualified to join our music faculty. Not only are they highly qualified musicians and specialised on their instruments, but it is their extensive teaching experience and their warm personalities that allow them to become great role models for students at our school.

A weekly Mini Maestros Incursion is just the thing to easily introduce your children to the benefits of a quality music program. Enrolments are open during the school holidays before commencement of classes for the school term. Each lesson will include a variety of activities chosen from keyboard performance, singing, music appreciation, coloring, movement, listening, rhythm, and use of the magnetic/dry-erase board. The activities that occur in the lesson are structured to take into consideration the young child’s small hands and limited attention span.
I currently do private badminton training with Sam and he is extremely knowledgeable and has corrected my backhand and "dropping" shot technique.
