Bots are generally a good thing, but some web pages are for humans only. For example, we don't want bots running about trying to book airline tickets. They tend to try to cram large suitcases in the overhead bin, and they prattle on about celebrities they know while you are trying to watch the movie. One whole street that was closed to traffic and filled with stalls selling lots of mouth-watering snacks eg.
You can hire a local taxi for a day at a set price to follow your itinerary. Many taxi drivers offer a full-day tour and usually know where to take you. This option comes in handy when you don’t have any specific itinerary. Visit SuSu Second-Hand Bookstore & Guesthouse in the city center and play with the local owners’ two pet cats who call 地瓜酥 the shelves their home. After a much welcome ice cream , we left the east coast and headed across the mountains to the west coast, including a stop for lunch . ●The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a national monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China.

Natural Tasty Co.’s product is a great choice for the best Taiwan Sweet experience, which use pine nuts, Taiwan red quinoa and sesame seed. Get to the heart of Taitung with one of our in-depth, award-winning guidebooks, covering maps, itineraries, and expert guidance. Although there is also eslite in Hong Kong, this eslite contains many good chinese books that worths a visit. Tried different flavours - and our favourites are marlin, green tea with red beans and green beans.

Follow my journey as I will share my travel experiences, tips & tricks and cultural insights. With the indigenous tribes in the region, these deep ocean fishes are cooked in their traditional ways. It looked like the chef had stuffed fish with cloves of garlic and other condiments, then doused in a thick layer of sea salt to bake. I worried about having the fish covered in salt, but the skin came right off.
When one is not sure what to drink, a cup of coffee at THE ONE can bring a person a sense of belonging. Old England, located on the road up to Cingjing Farm, is one of the most luxurious (and expensive!) Bed & Breakfasts in Taiwan. True to its name, Old England is a traditional English mansion, featuring all things Britain. Taiwan is an island country with no shortage of fresh seafood. But be sure to eat Taitung’s local delicacies, such as Kuroshio Current sailfish and flying fish. Aboriginals have their own ways of cooking these rare fishes, too.
Not only did I savor traditional choices – like red bean, mung bean, peanuts, matcha, etc. – but I also enjoy creative flavors – like swordfish. All that to say, even if mochi is not your thing, give it a try in Taitung. Many restaurants in Taitung serve QQ rice noodles, typically served with ground pork sauce and bonito fish flakes. I tried a couple of restaurants, but in my opinion, Rong Shu Xia has the best rice noodles in town. As it is complicated even for the local Taiwanese to plan a trip to Green Island or Orchid Island, I highly recommend taking advantage of the organized tour. Staying at a hot spring resort to relax at the end of your Taitung trip sounds like an excellent idea?

As you can imagine, there is Mr. Brown cafe, where you can grab a coffee. Like the rest of Taiwan, just be aware of seasonal typhoons in summer (June – October). When an earthquake hits, transportation on the highway might get disrupted.
The East Coast of Taiwan features many stunning natural scenic spots. Yet public transportation is not very convenient; and joining a tour would be a stress-free, time-efficient way to travel. Unless you have local resources , I highly recommend joining these tours on the East Coast for efficiency’s sake.

After dropping our bike and picking up our luggage, we headed to 路得行旅 Norden Ruder for the night. Feels just like our park connector, but slightly more scenic and well maintained. This route is built over old railway tracks, and is part of the 21km “Taitung Mountain/Ocean Bicycle Trail”.
Overall, we enjoyed the walk and snacks, the vibrancy in a seemingly quiet town. At least half the stalls are amusement - e.g. shooting balloons - and there isn’t a lot of variety in the food stalls. It’s an ok night market if you’re not expecting something bigger.
It is the best and most efficient way to enjoy the East. Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Zhengqi and Bo’ai roads, this market is a great spot to grab souvenirs, try authentic Taiwanese food and get to know the local way of life. Although you can get a train from Zhiben (知本站) or Kangle station (康樂站), we would recommend first timers to stick to Taitung Station. But when you mention the hot air balloon, seawater hot spring or Mr Brown avenue ( 池上 Chisang), Taitung will ring a bell . Taipei, April 25 This year’s Taitung Music Festival will start off with a bang on April 26, kicking off the peak season for tourism in the county in eastern Taiwan. Located within 1.9 miles of Taitung Night Market and 1.1 miles of Donghai Sports Park, Ruyi Inn has rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Taitung City.
